Minematters Health and Wellness Foundation

Minematters Health and Wellness Foundation (MHAWF) is the formally registered Nigerian entity of Minematters Foundation Inc. CAC Registration No. 8054234. MHAWF operates five active programs serving students and communities across Edo State. We have reached hundreds of students, signed a formal MOU with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, funded university tuition for deserving students, provided uniforms and books for primary school students, and hosted MindFest 2025 at the University of Benin with 652 registrations and 310 attendees.

 
 
 
 
 

Our Mission

Our mission is to make mental health education and support accessible to every young person in Nigeria regardless of their school, their community, or their circumstances. We build programs that reach students where they are, train peer leaders who understand their experiences, and create events that break the stigma around mental health one conversation at a time.

Our Vision

We envision a Nigeria where no student faces mental health challenges alone. Where every secondary school has trained peer educators. Where every university campus has an active mental health chapter. Where MindFest brings thousands of young people together every year to speak openly, heal together, and build better futures.

Supporting Schools in Rural Communities

Minematters Foundation has worked directly with schools in rural Edo State communities, providing practical support including equipment, supplies, and resources to help create better learning environments for students who need it most.

Partnering for Impact — Orphanage Outreach

Minematters Foundation partnered with Locus Eye Clinic to bring school supplies and free eye exams to children at an orphanage. Every child received branded notebooks and supplies, and those who needed vision care got access to it that day. This is what community partnership looks like in practice. Two organizations showing up together for children who needed them most.
